| | ELI Eco Logic International Inc.’s (Eco Logic) Gas Phase Chemical Reduction (GPCR) Process is “a |
| | non-selective destruction technology capable of treating organic contaminants in a wide range of |
| | matrices.” The GPCR Process uses high temperatures and hydrogen to reduce organic compounds |
| | to methane and other low molecular weight hydrocarbons at temperatures of approximately 850oC |
| | and ambient pressure. The process consists of a feed processing step, a reactor and product gas |
| | treatment. Solid wastes are first processed in a Thermal Reduction Batch Processor (TRBP); liquid |
| | wastes pass through a Liquid Waste Pre-heater System (LWPS) before entering the GPCR reactor. |
| | |
| | The TRBP and LWPS volatilize the bulk of the material so that it can be destroyed in the GPCR |
| | reactor. The TRBP operates in batch mode, while both the LWPS and GPCR |
| | reactor are continuous operations. The acids produced are neutralized in a caustic scrubber and |
| | form salts. |
