| | years. He is currently Vice President of the Save Lake Superior Association. While not speaking |
| | officially for the SLSA, Glen made the following presentation Feb. 3, 2007 at the Living Green |
| | Conference in Superior, Wisconsin. |
| | The majority of you have no doubt heard about the 1,450 barrels that have been dumped in the |
| | lake…. They were dumped by Honeywell, via the Army Corps of Engineers between 1957 and |
| | 1962. |
| | The cities of Duluth, Superior and Thunder Bay, Congressmen Jim Oberstar and David Obey, the |
| | Save Lake Superior Association and others have been seeking over the past 20 years remedial |
| | action, ranging from chemical testing of the barrels’ contents, to removal of all the 55- gallon |
| | drums, to other kinds of testing to find out exactly what may be circulating now in our water. |
