Background

The routing of the Nord Stream pipeline from Russia to Germany for which approval application has

been submitted corresponds to the NG 1 axis for priority projects in the context of the Trans-

European Energy Network (TEN-E) and is intended to cover part of the increased need for natural-

gas imports anticipated in the future.
